Definitely not procrastinating

Finding it difficult to write my essay, i figured updating my blog would help me get back into the pace of things.

I recreantly had my wisdom teeth pulled, which is great. There is a cut on the side of my mouth due to my cheeks being really swollen that rips open every time I try to eat something and the painkillers I was given turned out to be nothing more than glorified Tylenol.

On a brighter note, trying Age of Conan out on my computer proved to be difficult, so I took it in and got a fresh install of Windows XP, bumped it up from 1 gig to 3 gigs of RAM, and replaced my Geforce 7600GS video card with a Geforce 9600GT video card. The improvement is dramatic, to say the least.

My Priest of Mitra character is now level 17 (the max level is 80), and their form of healing is odd. I had played a Druid in World of Warcraft (a tree druid, to be specific), so not having "direct" heals (in that you click on a friendly players portrait and watch a casting bar for 3 seconds) and using a more healing over time style is not new to me. However, the idea that you need to click on a player to heal them is completely gone from Age of Conan, replaced by an Area of Effect style of play. I'll be curious to see how this style of healing will work in the level 80 24 man raid dungeons.

As an MMO, it's already a very solid game, which is super surprising. Generally when an MMO launches you EXPECT the servers to be constantly down, even World of Warcraft couldn’t avoid this. Age of Conan has done the seemingly impossible; it's a pretty stable game.

Now I should stop wasting time and work on my Cannabis essay.
