Everyday Shooter has definitely grown on me despite the realization that the PC version has some glaring issues. For one I was under the assumption that the game was not intended to have analog movement (to create a throw back to very old arcade games that only had 8 ways of direction), however, from reading the Steam forums for the game I ended up finding out that the PS3 version has said precise controls. Also my speakers are not blown, the game has sound issues (things crackle sometimes (it is possible to ignore it, it's not extreamly noticable)) which REALLY sucks because the sound is a very important aspect of this game.
These issues aside, this is the only version of the game I can play, and I still do enjoy it. It's like when the core experience of a game is enjoyable you can overlook certain issues. The further I get into the game the more it moves me musically, I've certianly been inspired by it.
Fuck, I really need to get this one song a week thing figured out, my main issues is that my electric guitar is not strung with flatwound strings. Flatwound strings are very important to me because the deep non-twangy sound they produce is perfect for what I intend to create. Without it I feel like I loss a lot of percision in what I can create... I need to get my ass over to Johns Music this week, but of course i like the heavey gauge for flatwound, they only carry regular...
Fuck. I'll buy some online maybe.
